With its outstanding presentation, clever mix of. For example HK devs don't refer to their game as a metroidvania but the design decisions they made resulted in a metroidvania game. Performance woes aside, Unbound: Worlds Apart is easy to recommend to any fans of the Metroidvania genre. There's no metroidvania counsel but there are certain gameplay elements that will make a game to fall into that category. Anyway, there are enough similarities in game play that I think a lot of people would enjoy one if they liked the other. Afterward, our main protagonist Soli, a young mage and wizard will begin to travel through the world as a great evil engulfs the world in flames that are later known to be caused by Arawen, the Demon King who has invaded the world with their demons. There was a choice in which area to do next in WotW at one point. It feels somewhat similar to the Ori series, albeit maybe. Unbound has such a crossroad early in the game, but after that is was more linear I suppose. Unbound: Worlds Apart is an excellent platform game with plenty of interesting portal puzzles, but it has a lot frame drops on Switch. The Ori games were laid out so that you did keeping going through a common "crossroads" as you went through the areas, but you did an area and didn't ever need to go back.

The intertwining of effective mechanics, exquisite boss fights, and alluring story make the game one to play as. I found Ori to be linear also, but that's fine with me. Unbound: Worlds Apart not only is a delightfully refreshing experience, but it is one where you can see the developments team’s passion and love for creating games that offer players great escapism and a unique sense of discovery.
